Put a whole egg into shallow glass of water. A fresh egg will sink at the bottom of glass. About 3 weeks old egg will stand on end. and rotten egg will float to the surface. The reason is - As the egg ages, the air-pockets inside the shell expands till egg becomes light to float.
अंडं बुडेल इतपत पाणी एका ग्लासमध्ये घ्यावे. जर एकदम ताजे अंडे असेल तर ते तळाला बसेल. साधारण ३ आठवडे जुने अंडे असेल तर ते पाण्यात उभे राहते. आणि जर नासके अंडे असेल तर ते पाण्यावर संपुर्णतः तरंगते. याचे कारण जसजसे अंडे जुने होते तसतसे अंड्याच्या आतील हवेच्या पोकळ्या वाढत जातात आणि पाण्यावर तरंगेस्तोवर अंडे हलके होते.
