A right way to serve Lettuce.

While making lettuce salad, never chop lettuce leaves with knife. Instead, tear them with hands. Chopping process damages the cells. Damaged lettuce leaves release ascorbic acid oxidase, which destroys vitamin C. Cut edges also discolor quickly.

लेट्यूसची पाने कधीही चिरू नयेत, त्याचे नेहमी हातानेच तुकडे करावेत. चीरल्याने लेट्यूस पानांच्या पेशिंना हानी पोहोचते आणि त्यातील "सी" जीवनसत्त्व नष्ट होते. तसेच चीरल्यामुळे पानांचा करकरीतपणा जातो आणि पाने काळी पडतात.
